PROCEDURE DETAILS
This is a very satisfying procedure for people who have never really been happy with ears that stick out a bit more than they would like them to.
This is often done whilst you are awake under local anaesthetic and involves scars that are well hidden behind the ear. There are several different ways of doing the procedure depending on what exactly needs to be addressed as no two people are quite the same.
TECHNIQUE
Most cases involve using strong stitches that are all hidden on the inside behind the ear and placed within the cartilage to refold it and hold the ear in the preferred position.
These internal stitches can’t be seen and remain in place on a permanent basis to give a long-term result that holds the shape in a better position whilst still looking natural. The skin is then closed with dissolving stitches so there are none that need to be removed later. The whole procedure takes about 2 hours.
