PROCEDURE DETAILS
The upper lip lengthens naturally as people age and this procedure corrects that to improve the proportion of the upper teeth that can be seen when people smile.
This is usually done whilst you are awake under local anaesthetic with a few injections to numb the area so you don’t feel anything. Whilst the amount of skin to be removed is often quite small, the results can be quite dramatic. It’s also important not to over correct this as lengthening the lip again is not possible if too much is taken away. Done well though this can really improve the appearance of the aging upper lip. Whilst fillers cannot achieve this sort of result, they may sometimes still be helpful to improve the results even further.
