Scar revisions are almost always possible under local anaesthetic.
The simplest cases involve simply removing the unsightly scar and replacing it with a neater one, though the extent of surgery required can vary greatly from person to person.

Most local anaesthetic scar revisions take less than 1 hour and are performed as a day case procedure with skin glue, sterri strips or a simple water resistant dressing applied afterwards.
All scars take 12-18 months to then fully mature. This process can be improved and accelerated with some scar therapy, which will be carefully explained to you for optimum results. Most stitches are dissolving, though some scars on the face are better revised with stitches that then need to be removed 5-7 days later.
